For more information, go to www.mikeneer.com This is an 80 minute video which goes into great depth on Buddy Emmons' classic Four Wheel Drive (which is just about the hottest steel instrumental ever recorded, even 50 years later!) and uses Four Wheel Drive as a vehicle to explore the important techniques of steel guitar playing that often get overlooked by many non-pedal players, including right hand picking, blocking and left hand bar moves, including lifting, split slanting and more. There's quite a bit of advanced harmony applications, as well. So, it's not so much about learning to play the tune as it is about learning from playing the tune. This is an adaptation for Non-pedal steel guitar (8 string, C6 tuning). It would be of benefit for 6 string players, also, especially those who will later migrate to 8 strings. While you will not be able to play some of the transcription on 6 strings (a rather small part), there is still plenty to chew on.
