Ideas on special needs piano instruction?

by admin on September 24, 2009

Playing by ear has proved effective for me with several students. Also clear visual format in large type. Reading has been difficult, but I’d love to hear your strategies about how to approach it, especially rhythm and counting. Thanks

I dont know if this will help but my friend plays drums and she is deaf and she is also blind in her left eye. She likes to look at the big notes that she has enlarged by the teacher and she first learns really slow so she can feel the vibration and get the tempo or "beat" in her head.. Hope this helps a little bit..!!

Does anyone know how to get an instruction manual for a "MELODIC 100 Rhythms digital piano" please?
