they key to learning to play faster is learning to play slower and cleaner. if the notes are super fast but not clean and stacto ,then it just sounds like a slurry of notes it dont sound fast.learn scales. gradualy build your speed up after you knpw the scale and you can play it clean with out sluring the notes.then learn arpeggios. combine those while following the same rule i just mentioned.

I am trying to learn the guitar. I’m 14 and have a medium-sized guitar. I only learned about five or six notes a couple of months ago but I stopped playing and now I have forgot where I put my fingers on my guitar for each note – and the guitar instruction book I have isn’t giving me much help. Does anyone know where I can find some illustrations (photos or pictures) on the internet, where I can see someone holding a guitar and showing where you press your finger’s down on what fret etc. I want to learn notes E,G,B,D,F,A,C,E etc. Sorry if this is a bit vague. Thanks!

I just got Guitar Hero World Tour for PS2 and I was wondering, how do you put the strap on the guitar?
The instructions don’t show you how.

slide the open peices on the end of the strap on the knobs on the guitar

I love Frederick Noad’s "Guitar". It has a lot of great tunes, clear text and diagrams, and walks you through learning to read music, and relate it to the fretboard as well as different plucking techniques.

This was my first guitar hero game I’ve ever gotten and I was really disappointed.

Don’t take it personally, but I think it sucks.

So how much would I get if I sold it to Gamestop with instructions, guitar, case, unscratched disk, drums, drum sticks, the little kick thing with drums, and the mike.

Also I only played this game for like 5 hours total so it’s basically new.

You’d get it for like $150-$180. I’m not probably sure that it will be around that price range, but close to it.

to? Or does anyone know of any other good sources (books,

There are hundreds of tab/chord/lyric sites out there. I Would suggest www.chordie.com which has all kinds of chords, tabs and lyrics, and also has many different forums for beginners, through advanced. www.cowboylyrics.com is another site, which tends to have song lyrics with the chords included right in them. But I would say the best site for the absolute beginner is http://guitar.about.com/library/blguitarlessonarchive.htm which has 3 seperate lessons, explaining the mechanics of the guitar, the way the fingers are numbered etc, and leads all the way up to learning your first song.
