What is the best vocal work out routine?
Please give instruction in detail.
It depends of what your vocal issue is. If your issue is lack of ability to carry legato lines, you would need to sing the scales with a long legato line. If your issues is articulation, you would need to use different consonants and vowels throughout your workout. If your issue is high or low notes, the obvious is to work out that area in your voice.
Either way, during warm ups you should do various vocal exercises. There aren't any that are better, because warm ups are just that. You are stretching out your vocals to be prepared to sing any material. Usually female singers start from middle C and go up, then go down the scale. Try doing half step and whole step warm ups, staccato and legato lines. Use all of the vowel sounds along with various consonants. The siren vocal sound imitation works as well.
Purchase sight singing or warm up books with different exercises if you read music decently, or seek a voice teacher to show you various exercises. Being prepared is doing it all before singing any song. That's what athletes do and this is what GOOD singers do.
Are sat nav maps and voice instructions from the same manufacturer?
I have my suspicions that there is not much difference between any of these devices. I suspect the maps are bought under licence and then put in the boxes by different makers. I have two such devices from different makers and the voices on them are identical.
they are not all from the same factories although much of the software is shared. some manufacturers do not make their own systems they simply buy a different brand in bits and assemble them into different casings under licence.
generally the built in systems for all the many different types of car are made from 3 or 4 different suppliers.
How to sing louder in front of voice teacher.?
So at the moment I am taking private voice lessons to improve my singing however I can't sing loud for my teacher I know I can but I can't with my teacher being there i guess. What can I do to make me sing louder? I also feel like what my teacher pushes me out of my comfort zone. I think I get nervous when I am around my teacher, what can I do to help me sing and act more normal around her.
You're probably nervous because you're new to singing in front of someone who you don't know. You may feel like you are being pushed out of your comfort zone because your teacher is criticizing you, but that is normal for a teacher to tell you what to do and what not to do. It is normal to be nervous in a voice lesson, as many people find it hard to sing in front of crowds. However, with a bit of time, you should adjust to it. You should also ask your teacher how to sing louder, as that's what he/she is there for. Singing is all in the breathing and airflow. Maybe you can try singing normally then with time, increase your power little by little. That should help you project.
Why do music teachers charge so much for piano lessons?
I know studio time is included in cost, but why do lessons have to be so expensive? I respect a music teacher's dedication to service and the countless years they've spent studying at college but the price has gone up recently and I'm trying to bite the bullet but it's hard to do so. Should I just sign up at my college or stay where I am now? Music is my pride and joy along with computers and accounting but I don't know how to tell the instructor the truth about the cost. Are there any alternatives?
I would assume that your teacher's recent increase in the cost of lessons has to do with the current state of the economy.
As I'm sure you know, prices are increasing for everything. Its possible that your teacher's overhead expenses had to be increased, and the lesson cost needed to be adjusted accordingly. Or that your teacher determined that he/she was no longer able to meet day-to-day expenses without raising lesson rates.
You could try discussing the cost with the instructor - perhaps he/she might feel its better to give you a discount rather than lose you entirely. You never know unless you ask!
How long will it take to be a music teacher when I already have my AAT in music education?
I am studying to be a music teacher on a primary and secondary school level and am just about to get my Associates of the Arts degree in music education. But I don't know what else I have to get--do I need a bachelor's to go along with my teaching certificate. Could someone give me a few tips?
Where are you located? I can only give US advice - and I know that requirements are different in other states. As far as I know about, form all the colleagues I have ever met in ANY state in the US, you need a Bachelor's degree in music education to be certified to teach. You can get a BM or BS in music, and then take additional courses for your certification, and a FW states allow BA in music education. Essentially, a BM degree in 3/4 music, 1/4 academics; a BS is half and half; and a BA i 1/4 music and 3/4 academics. Since NCLB requires you to be *highly qualified*, most state do not allow a BA. and most states ALSO require you to get a masters degree within a certain period of time - here in NY, it is 5 years.
So - you need to tell me WHERE you are - because I have NEVER heard of anybody being employable and certified with ONLY an AAT. You can take that and *transfer* to a 4-year college and complete your bachelor's - but otherwise, I can offer you nor more advice until I know more about your location.

Do I need to know how to play the ordinary guitar before taking electric guitar classes?
Sweeet, you've got the hippie avatar. And, you're a girl...which is fantastic, we need more girl guitarists. No, you don't need to play an "ordinary" guitar (aka: acoustic), however...on a electric the strins are closer to the fretboard, which makes it easier for your fingers to press down on to make a clean note, so i you decide you want to try acoustic, its going to be harder for you to learn, because you fingers won't have the strength. If you can, learn both. It will be sooo benefitial to you as a player and an artist (if you write and/or sing). By the way, guitar lessons tend to suck unless you get a rad player who knows how to teach, so there is this website of free video lessons that helped me learn everything, and they teach you modern songs you want to learn as opposed to twinkle twinkle little star.

Do you have a favorite book for teaching beginning piano?
I learned piano by ear and know my chords and notes. I would like to teach my boys age 5 and 7 a little piano. If they stick with it a while I'll get them a real teacher. Is there a beginners piano instruction book that would be a good aid to me in my teaching effort? Thanks.
The John Brimhall method is good

Is there a difference between a classical guitar and an acoustic guitar?
I'm learning classical guitar right now..and will you learn strumming too? I just started like 2nd lesson? And can you apply what you have learnt to acoustic guitars? And is it easier to learn acoustic guitars than classical guitars? And can you apply whatever you learnt in classical to acoustic?
Yes there is a difference. Now saying that the main difference generally is that the strings instead of being steel are nylon and the neck of the guitar is generally wider than that of an acoustic. You can apply what you learn in classical to acoustic as well I would say that it is easier on the fingers to play a classical guitar, but I personally would choose an acoustic over a classical any day because of the fact I play more rock n roll and singer song writer stuff. It all really comes down to what you are comfortable with. There is no real trick to one style of guitar that will make it easier to play. The only real way you get better quickly is playing alot so your fingers build up strength, and also learning music as far as notes and chords go and where they are on your guitar this helps alot. It kinda lays down a road map for where you are going you know. Anyways good luck and remember practice makes better.
